The new produce garden in the north side of the Holkham Walled Garden has been planned around a central circular bed which is now taking shape. Carl Balding, Gardener, has been carefully making the brick edges to the paths. The ground on the north side has been turned ready for the first plantings of potatoes and garlic whilst the paths there are now ready for the final layer of gravel. Still plenty of work to do on the south side.
It looked very muddy! I'm looking forward to seeing how it look now that Spring has arrived
ReplyDeleteHi Robert, well it certainly looked dry yesterday (18th April) as we are in the midst of a drought here in Norfolk. There is still plenty to do on the pathways but some of the vegetable beds are now planted up and growing happily.
