After the snow cleared and the ground began to thaw, work started once more on the new produce beds and pathways in the back (north end) of the Holkham Walled Garden. Work is progressing but it is early days so the vegetable won't be at full capacity until next season. However, the bed in the foreground has been turned ready for planting potatoes. These are an ideal first crop to 'clean up the soil' by the act of working the soil whilst earthing them up.
Tim Marshall, Head Gardener at Holkham Hall is seen here sighting the levels for the Carl and Jason who are setting the brick edging on the new pathways.
