First the Rain...

Rain lashes down the outside of the restored glasshouses. The glass is scallop shaped to divert the water away from the wood. Birds investigate inside and are trapped occasionally but they find shelter and little grubs to eat. There was a blue tit in the restored vinery and a robin in the orangery last week.


The rain stopped work on the produce area inside the Holkham Walled Garden, it was just too muddy and sticky to work on.
