Crug Farm Plants

Tim Marshall, Head Gardener at the Holkham Walled Garden has travelled to remote, difficult and uncomfortable parts of the world to collect the seeds of exotic plants. This winter he is enjoying a spot of comfortable armchair travelling with the nursery catalogues. A consignment of 60 or so interesting plants has arrived from Crug Farm Plants, one of the suppliers for the Holkham Walled Garden. The Crug Farm nursery is run by Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones in North Wales who are avid plant collectors and who, with the necessary permits, travel to remote areas of the world to collect plants. Their website plant plant hunting page at www.crugfarm.co.uk  contains details of where they go and what they find.
